The Smile High Company was formed by Ian Gibbons, who had worked in the music and entertainment industry for more years than he cared to remember, working with the likes of Bob Geldof, Kiki Dee, and children's favourite Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Then in October 2006 he was at home watching a report on BBC's Watchdog who were investigating a company that promised clowns and discos at children's parties across the UK. The problem was, the clowns and DJs often failed to show up.

Ian was appalled and although up until that moment, had never really given much thought to the possibility of extending his talents into the children's entertainment industry, the idea of letting not only children down, but their mums, dads, grandma's and grandpa's, and leaving children with tears in their eyes was too much for him to bear.

The Smile High Company was born!!

One of the company's main philosphies is taken from the famous song A Spoonful of Sugar, from the Disney children's classic Mary Poppins:

In ev'ry job that must be done
There is an element of fun
You find the fun and snap!
The job's a game.

And that's how it's been ever since. The small team of likeminded, dedicated and highly motivated people who are The Smile High Company are in the business to have fun. And more importantly leave smiles on the faces of the children and clients they work for.
